Calmer Con is proud to be a Safe Space for all exhibitors and attendees. Harassment of any nature is not welcome at our event. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to race, gender, sexual orientation, body size, disability, appearance, and religion, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

Attendees, Exhibitors, and Staff are all subject to our anti-harassment policy. If a person engages in harassing behavior, we will take the appropriate action, up to and including permanent removal from the show space and the possibility of police involvement.

If you are being harassed, witness someone else being harassed, or have any concerns, please seek out a Calmer Con staff member – identifiable by turquoise-colored shirts. You may also report the incident by sending an email to calmercon@bostoncomicarts.org. All incidents reported will be kept strictly confidential. We will address each situation brought to our attention individually to the best of our ability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Calmer Con for all ages?

Yes! Calmer Con offers something for everyone. For kids, there’s activities like Jedi Training, Pokemon Club, and Drawing Workshops. Teens and young adults can hang out at our YA Lounge with video game tournaments, Cosplay Crafting, and Zine Workshops. And of course, all ages can enjoy our Artist Alley, Cosplay, and Table-top Gaming.

How is Calmer Con sensory-adjusted?

Calmer Con is a welcoming environment for those who may find themselves overwhelmed at a typical convention. Since everyone regulates in different ways, our activities are rated in our program based on whether they are high or low energy. Most importantly, our Calmer Space gives every attendee a place to recharge at the event.
